An Aesthetic and research centre named Amaradeva Asapuwa was established in Ape Gama premises in Battaramulla for the appreciation of the invaluable service rendered by Dr. Pandit Amaradeva to the field of Music.
Objectives
- To create a background for apprentice as well as veteran musicians through conducting seminars and workshops to create their own creations in the style of local music.
- Providing the necessary facilities for the live conservation of Pandith Amaradeva's pieces of arts for the future generation.
- To make aware on the composing songs, singing, creation of melody and musical composition required to promote art songs.
- To provide opportunity to investigate and reaserach the universal classical and locally used music.
- To provide the opportunity to make heigheten the entertainment of the general public through universal classical and local music.
